a karmadharma retreat
If your inner voice keeps whispering things like…
…I should be further along by now
…I should have things figured out
…I wish things were different
…there has to be more to life
These aren’t facts. They’re stories.
Stories that filter how we see ourselves and the world.
Stories that dictate how we think, feel and act.
Some you chose, most you didn’t.
And…stories that no longer serve us can be questioned and rewritten.
If you are interested in infusing a little more peace, purpose, and letting go into your life, this retreat is for you.

How it works
unearth, unpack, (re)write.
day one is for unearthing.
We open with a practice that gets everyone out of their heads and into the room. Then you work. Alone with a pen, in pairs, and in the full circle. You’ll write down things you’ve never said out loud. You’ll hear someone describe their life and recognize your own in it. Using tools we’ve practiced for years and been on the receiving end of ourselves, you’ll surface the core beliefs driving your thoughts, words, and actions. Some you’ll recognize instantly. Some will stop you cold.

the overnight is for unpacking.
This is why we don’t send you home. When an old story loosens its grip, things don’t tidy themselves up. They fall open. We call it the valley, and it’s the stretch where the old version of you has stopped being useful and the new one hasn’t arrived yet. Integration comes after, and it only comes if you let yourself be undone first.
The valley needs time, quiet, a shared meal, a fire, a walk, a conversation with someone who just went through the same thing. Going home to lunches and laundry closes that space before it can do its work. Staying keeps it open. You will not be alone in it. Some of the most important moments of these two days happen after dinner, when nothing is scheduled at all.

day two is for (re)writing.
With the old stories on the table, we ask the better question: what is true for you today? You’ll leave with a small set of guiding beliefs written in your own voice, and a practice for living them when regular life comes rushing back. Because it will, and that’s part of it too. You won’t leave finished. You’ll leave (re)started, trusting that your path will teach you how to walk it.

what you will leave with.
We’re careful with promises here. Two days doesn’t “fix” a life, but it can be the beginning a new chapter.
You’ll leave with words for the thing you’ve been carrying around for years. Clarity on the things you’ve been avoiding. A little more room between what happens and how you react, the small gap where most of your life actually happens. You won’t leave finished. We’re not finished either. But you’ll leave awake, and that isn’t always easy to do on your own.

THIS MIGHT SOUND FAMILIAR….
it’s 11:47pm on a tuesday night.
The world has gone quiet. And you’re lying there, staring at the ceiling, doing the math on your own life.
Your business or career is seemingly on track. Everything looks the way it’s supposed to look. You “should” just be grateful.
Yet you still feel some sort of hollow emptiness in your stomach.
…I should be further along by now
…there has to be more to life,
…there has to be a better way,
…I want my life to have meaning and purpose.
You’ve told yourself it’s a phase. The market. The bills. The people counting on you. Once things settle down, you’ll feel like yourself again. One day…you’ll get there.
But you’ve been telling yourself that for a while now. And you’re secretly worried you might be telling yourself that story for the rest of your life…
hear it from others.

Who this is for
this room is for you if:
- You’re driven, you’ve accomplished real things, and lately it all feels strangely hollow
- You keep having some version of the ”there has to be more to life than this” conversation
- You suspect your circumstances aren’t the whole story, and you’re willing to look at what you control in your story
- You’re a leader looking to deepen your awareness of how you are showing up.
- You’re ready to be honest in a room of people doing the same
And this work travels. Some people come for themselves and find it changes how they live. Others come for their leadership and work and find it changes everything else. Many participants attend using professional development budgets, and we’re glad to provide whatever documentation your organization needs.
And lastly, you will never be forced to share anything. Every invitation in this room is just that: an invitation.
Important note:
This room is not for you, right now, if you’re in acute crisis.
That deserves real support, and we’ll gladly help you find it.
This work can sit alongside therapy. It’s never a substitute for it.
What this isn’t
we don’t have all the answers.
Space. Tools. People. We got those.
Presence. Curiosity. Wisdom. You bring those.
we are not here to fix you.
There’s nothing about you that needs fixing. What there is, in every single one of us, is a pile of old code we never agreed to and have been running ever since. Seeing the code is the work. You are not the problem. You never were.
we will not therapize you.
This is not therapy and it doesn’t replace it. It sits alongside it and does a different job, done with your eyes open and your hands on the pen.
we will not hand you answers.
We could. We have opinions, we have plenty of them. But an answer you’re handed never lasts like one you arrive at yourself. What’s been missing is rarely the answer. It was the room, the tools, and people willing to ask you harder questions than you ask yourself.
we will not put you on the spot.
You will never be made to share anything. Every invitation in that room is exactly that. Some people talk on the first morning. Some listen until after dinner. Some do all the work without saying a word. All are fine.
Join
the founding cohort.
This is the first time we’re offering this retreat, and we’re doing it with our eyes open. Our next cohort will be $2,495.
The founding cohort joins at the founding rate in exchange for two things: your unfiltered feedback, and permission to ask (never require) a testimonial if the experience earns one. You get the full retreat. We get twelve honest teachers. That feels like a fair trade to us.
Many leaders expense this as a professional development. We’re happy to provide an invoice, a learning outline, or whatever else your organization needs.
Money should never be the thing that keeps someone from this work. Two partial scholarships are available per cohort. If you need one, say so in your application. That’s exactly what they’re for.
